As regulations regarding the installation of explosion-proof equipment are strengthened, installation of a conduit sealing device is required for pressure-proof explosion-proof equipment (EX 'd').
Conventionally used packing type cable glands and sealing fittings cannot be installed in explosion-proof (Ex'd') equipment due to the strengthened standards.
In addition, in the case of existing compound type sealing devices, compound mixing is difficult and cracking occurs due to vibrations after hardening . Therefore, an epoxy type sealing device is required.
Conduit sealing devices shall seal the outer covering when the cable is effectively filled, or seal individual core units within the conduit
